MASALA MURI/ JHAL MURI -ঝালমুড়ি রেসিপি



 JHAL MURI RECIPE STREET STYLE


jhal muri is a famous Kolkata street food with puffed rice( muri/ murmura), chanachur, boiled potatoes, boiled grams, onion, green chilies, coconut, aam chur powder /tel, etc. Like other street foods jhal muri or masala, muri has also a tangy and spicy taste. We can also make it at home as an evening snack and a great companion in "Chaer Adda".

       


INGREDIENTS :        

  • puffed rice/ muri: 30gms
  • chopped onion: 1
  • sliced coconut: 8gm
  • green chilies:  2-3 chopped
  • aam chur tel/powder: 1tsp
  • chat masala: 1/2 tsp
  • mustard oil:1/2 tsp
  • freshly peeled cucumber: 1 sliced
  • sprouted gram: 1 small cup
  •   bhaja masala:1/2 tsp
  • chanachur: 
  • beet noon / black salt: 1/4tsp  
  • dhonepata/cilantro: chopped   
*** YOU CAN ALSO ADD HERE BOILED POTATOES









     HOW TO MAKE:       

  •     Before starting, make sure that the puffed rice is crispy, if not then microwave for 30 secs to make it crispy. 
  • finely chop the onion, cucumber, chilies, and dhone pata.
  • now take muri in a large bowl for mixing. Add chanchur, chopped onion, chilies, and sliced coconut. Sprinkle bhaja masala and beet nun.
  • also add sprouted gram, aam tel or aamchur powder, chat masala and dhone pata, raw mustard oil.
  • finally, mix them well and serve with tea.
